The single best method in the game for restoring energy (aside from spending city dollars, which you always want to try and avoid at all costs), is to have a lot of neighbors in the game. Each time that you visit a neighbor each day, you get an extra energy bonus of up to 3 extra energy points. Visit your neighbor, but then don’t use any of your energy at their cities. Do this, and you’ll build up extra energy. Do this when you have a whole load of neighbors, and it will seem like you have a whole load of energy. Send them extra energy too when they post bulletins asking for it, and when you post bulletins asking for extra energy, they will be more likely to return the favor.
