Wowowee host Willie Revillame told Cristy Fermin on the TV-5 show Paparazzi that he has not left ABS-CBN. Willie Revillame has been on leave since he threatened to resign over comments made by Jobert Sucaldito of “The Buzz”.
Jobert Sucaldito had criticized Wowowee of getting only students guests with average grades of 75-79.
Revillame on his noontime program Wowowee had threatened that he would resign unless they fired Sucaldito who had made those comments against wowowee.
Sucaldito, however, has said that he was not directly attacking Revillame but just wanted the show to be elevated and be a good example to those who watched the noontime show.
Speaking on TV-5, Willie Revillame has said that he would make a future announcement on his decision, but that this was not the time to do so. He only wanted to clarify as well that he was still with ABS-CBN.
However, Ricky Lo got hold of Willie Revillame‘s letter to the ABS-CBN management and published it in his column in The Philippine Star last may 12. One of the lines in the letter include, “...I humbly request the management, to release me as a talent of the network.”
Another source revealed that COO Charo Santos-Concio texted a long message to Revillame before he left Manila, asking him to make amends with Lopez and apologize.
