Krista Ranillo is a Filipina actress. She is currently a contract actress of ABS-CBN after deciding to leave her home channel GMA Network.
Personal life
Kris is a daughter of veteran actor Matt Ranillo. She started to rise in her acting carreer when she became part of the cast of the television soap Lira, co-starred with Eula Valdez, then followed by Rio Del Mar in 1998. She was under contract for almost 12 years with GMA Network. In year 2005, she left her home-grown network GMA-7 and became a free lancer actress for almost 2 years. She then transferred to ABS-CBN in 2008 to star in Carlo J. Caparas’ work Pieta.
At present, Krista has still an on-going project with ABS-CBN and planning to move back to GMA Network, when her contract with ABS-CBN expires later this year. She is already lined-up for a project if she successfully returns to GMA 7, her home network.
Sexy Starlet Krista Ranillo is also “romantically” linked to Filipino boxing superstar Manny “PacMan” Pacquiao after the two have reportedly been seen together in Hong Kong, at the Ondoy relief operations, and inside Manny’s car covering her face after an interview with Jimmy Kimmel. Krista’s manager Arnold Vegafria insisted that the two are just close friends, as she will be co-starring in Manny’s upcoming movie, Wapakman. Manny has dealt with the rumors by merely smiling and saying “no comment”.
