Her young life
Klum was raised by her parents, Günther P. (a cosmetics company executive) and Erna (a hairdresser) in Bergisch Gladbach, Germany, a small city outside Cologne. According to Klum, she was persuaded by a friend to enroll in a national modeling contest called “Model 92″. Out of 25,000 contestants, Klum was voted the winner on April 29, 1992 and was offered a modeling contract worth US$300,000. As the winner, she appeared on the Gottschalk Late Night Show, a top German television show with host Thomas Gottschalk, similar to late night shows with David Letterman or Jay Leno in the United States.” She accepted the contract a few months later after graduating from school and decided not to try for an apprentice position at a fashion design school.

She graduated from St. Xavier’s College.Her family hails from the Mangalorean Catholic community, a Christian community in Mumbai. Her Father Frederick was born in Neerude and Mother Sylvia in Derebail, both towns in Mangalore. Her elder sister Sharon Pinto is an associate producer on the NDTV news channel. Patrick Swayze’s Beast gets low ratings
A&E Channel’s Detective drama “The Beast” is not faring too well in the ratings, six shows into the season.
”The Beast” (2.4 million, 0.8 adults 18-49 rating) was down 20% in the adult demo from the network’s last scripted premiere, July’s “The Cleaner.”
Compared to the most recent premiere of its lead-in “The First 48,” “Beast” was down 27% in the demo. Still, “Beast” matched the total viewers of last night’s “First 48.”
FBI agent Charles Barker has that “screw you” attitude, while his partner gives begrudging approval with lines like ”He gets the job done.” His brash attitude reminds us of Clint Eastwood’s dirty harry, Denzel Washington’s character in Training Day, and even Charles Bronson’s Death Wish movie series. Watching this show, the reader can’t help but think about his bout with pancreatic cancer.
Trisha Barreto is not Gretchen’s sister
Like with all chain letter emails and urban legend emails (worms in breast if you don’t wash your clothes, headless KFC chicken means these chicken are manufactured cloned and not grown the natural way, etc. etc.), actors and actresses are not spared the dignity of truth and reality.
